It was a sunny Saturday noon but there we were, freezing at the gym.
I dropped the dumbbells in my hands and walked to the treadmill machine to start my cardio session of the day. He followed a few minutes later.
“Does it feel too cool for you?” He placed his hand on top of mine, noticed my cold sweats, looked a bit concerned.
“I’m fine. I can’t believe I’d rather be outside right now,” I smiled at the thought.
I have always hated the sun, the heat, the humidity, to the core – at least until recently. With him, we had more outdoor activities than I could ever. I was reluctant at first but then realized how nice the breezy wind felt in my face when the “bearable” temperature allowed.
Guess I have had enough of the cool. Now I prefer warmth over cool, be it in a place or a person.
