Three hours of browsing and I still wasn’t sure about getting a new one. I had my old ones, they worked just fine, but I couldn’t close this page. Damn flash sale.
I decided to sleep on it. As I was getting ready for bed, PRAAANG!!!, suddenly a loud noise caught my attention.
My favorite tumbler fell off the table. Not only I dented it, you could say that it was now almost unfixable.
I was pissed for a second then realized that… I was glad it happened. This particular tumbler has been with me for years and used on daily basis. It was so light, handy, and purchased at a very great price point; but honestly, its slippery grip and easy-to-leak lid really bothered me.
It served me well until it didn’t anymore.
Maybe the incident was meant to be, or maybe I wanted it to be.
Nonetheless, I think being honest about how something makes us feel is far more important than how we feel about it. Initial sparks and excitements are great but we must consider what values they offer. Does it actually match our needs?
It’s okay to change our mind and want different things in life.
The key is to understand and prioritize what we truly need at the moment, and always, make sure to fill our own tumbler first before pouring into others.
